This special year end meeting will focus on how to publish video on the web using Flash and Dreamweaver.

Our presenters will be Steve Wolkoff, Macromedia Product Manager for Flash Media Server, and John Olson of Yapio Design and member of the LVMMUG Executive Committee.

First Steve will join us via Breeze to provide an overview of the features in the newly released Flash Media Server 2 (formerly Flash Communications Server).

Then John will review the options for publishing video including demonstrations of each of the options and of video encoding.  John's presentation will be focused on Flash but will also cover publishing video using Dreamweaver.

Topics John will cover included:

• Video encoder differences:  Spark and On2
• Flash options:  FLV, SWF video, and embedding
• Flash Media Components (Flash 7 and Flash 8)
• Using ActionScript with events, and cue points
• DreamWeaver loading FLV using Flash Video Import
