Contribute 3:  Web Content Management – A Guided Tour

At this meeting we will get two guided tours!  First Adobe Engineers Manoj K. Gupta and Sudharshan Somasundaram will join us via Breeze to review the features of Contribute 3, the Contribute Publishing System (CPS), and to provide demonstrations of features in Contribute 4 (code named "Hunter").  Then our own LVMMUG member Thomas Moore will provide us a guided tour of the corporate content management system that he successfully implemented using Contribute 3. 

This meeting is important for all members who have a website ;-)  Contribute 3 is part of Studio 8.  Dreamweaver developers should be especially interested in how Contribute 3 can be used to allow website content creators publish directly to the website through controlled approval processes.  This frees website designers to focus on website design by eliminating the need for designers to be involved in every update to content.

Topics Thomas will cover include:

1. Why Sierra Pacific Resources needed a content management system.
2. The web publishing process and how it works inside Sierra Pacific Resources.
3. A highlight of some of the features of Contribute as Sierra Pacific Resources uses it along with Dreamweaver.
4. An explanation of how Contribute has been accepted at the company.
5. Thomas' personal likes and dislikes about Contribute 3.
6. Questions and answers.
